Community guidelines
A short, honest read before you post — what's not okay here, and what actually happens when something goes wrong.
Not allowed
Targeting anyone based on who they are — race, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, or anything else — or piling on a specific person.
Telling someone to stop taking prescribed medication, avoid professional help, or anything else that could cause real harm if followed.
Content that encourages, instructs, or glorifies self-harm or suicide. Sharing your own struggle is welcome; encouraging someone else’s is not.
Detailed descriptions of self-harm methods, graphic violence, or anything designed to shock rather than support.
Presenting unproven claims as medical fact, especially about medication, diagnosis, or treatment.
Sharing someone else’s real name, address, workplace, or other identifying details without their consent — including people you’re venting about.
Any sexualised content involving minors is removed immediately and reported where legally required. This is a zero-tolerance rule.
Repeated posting, unrelated links, or anything posted to promote a product or service rather than to connect with the community.
Pretending to be someone else, including staff, moderators, or another community member.
Anything that breaks Australian law, including content that would require this to be reported to authorities.
Crisis posts — read this part
This community is not monitored continuously and cannot provide emergency intervention. If you see a post that makes you think someone is in immediate danger, don't wait for a moderator — call 000 yourself if you believe it's life-threatening, or point them to Lifeline 13 11 14.
Separately, open a ticket so the operator can review the post — this is a real person checking when they next see it, not an automated or 24/7 response. See the full crisis support page for more lines.
How moderation actually works
This is a one-person hobby project, not a moderated platform with a trust & safety team. Moderation is best-effort and reactive — driven by reports (open a ticket to flag a post) and occasional manual review, not continuous automated scanning. There can be a real delay between something being posted and anyone seeing a report about it.
Removal requests and appeals
Want your own post removed? You can delete it yourself from the community stories page as long as you're using the same browser you posted from — no ticket needed. To report someone else's post, or to ask why your post was removed and request it be reconsidered, open a ticket referencing what was posted and when. See /privacy for how that information is handled.
