Book a long appointment with a GP and ask about a Mental Health Treatment Plan. If eligible, Medicare covers up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year.
Bulk-billing GPs and psychologists exist but are limited. MindSpot, This Way Up and Beyond Blue NewAccess are free or very low cost. Headspace is free for 12–25-year-olds.
Yes — Medicare-funded telehealth is available, and MindSpot / This Way Up are entirely online programs supported by real clinicians.
